Funny enough, my dad, who's recently retired, is an auto body technician. Now to say technician is an understatement because he's truly a craftsman.
And something that always bugged me was that he wouldn't take on any employees and that he hated his job.
He is so good at what he does and yet he never bridged the gap from having excellence in that place to using that gift and those skills to teach and train and help and empower other people to rise up to his level of excellence.
Now I understand the frustration that comes with working with people and trying to get them to adopt your methods and methodologies, but ultimately your principles.
And I always wanted my dad to be happy about work and to just walk through life with joy and peace.
